Pastor Tauna began serving at Immanuel in January 2023. She is married to Pastor Erik.  They have two young children and a Tibetian Terrier.

Pastor Tauna grew up in rural Illinois in a farming community, but she's cheered for the Green Bay Packers all her life.  She graduated from Mount Mercy University, Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a degree in Elementary Education.  She received a Masters in Old Testament Studies from Luther Seminary, St. Paul in 2009. She was a Parish Educator in Green Bay, Wisconsin, before her and her husband served as ELCA missionaries in Tokyo, Japan. After Japan, Pastor Tauna served congregations on the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota while working towards her Masters of Divinity.  Pastor Tauna graduated from Luther Seminary in 2022.       

Pastor Tauna is passionate about serving others, building community and providing hospitality.  In her free time, she likes to garden, build with Legos, and bake.
